About John Lowry, CPP

I have traveled a few paths throughout my lifetime. Being a photographer has been one of the most fulfilling things I have done. My love for capturing moments and freezing them in time began at the age of twelve when I received my first camera. In 2017, I made the decision to transform that love for photography into a career. I established John Lowry Photography with a primary focus on portrait photography. My work reflects my fondness for light, vibrant colors, and a positive atmosphere.

In my pursuit of excellence, I continually challenge myself to refine my craft. Collaborating with other photographers who share the same love for this art form has been an invaluable source of inspiration and growth. I have had the privilege of receiving directed guidance from highly skilled photographers across the country. Furthermore, my involvement in the Professional Photographers of America, has led to the prestigious designation of Certified Professional Photographer (CPP). I am a past member of the executive board of the Professional Photographers of South Carolina and chair of the planning committee for the annual South Carolina PhotoCon. My goal extends beyond personal improvement as an artist; it is to provide my clients with an exceptional experience and deliver the finest quality images possible. It is a privilege to establish meaningful connections with my clients and to be embraced into their lives.

When I’m not creating photography, I enjoy moments spent with my wife and two sons in Columbia, SC. I find a lot of joy in traveling and experiencing new cities as well as connecting with nature and appreciating its beauty.
